So I got mugged in Buenos Aires, Argentina yesterday! I lose my bag along with my passport, Argentina visa, US green card, iphone with all my photos, ipad, wallet with all my money and credit cards, prescription glasses and keys. I was devastated and didn't know what to do and was afraid that I wouldn't be able to make it down to Antarctica.
However, The very kind people in Taiwanese Consulate helped me sooooo much!!! They not only got me a new passport in one day, but also comforted me, interviewed me, got me cough remedy and national flags, and connected me with other Taiwanese in Ushuaia. The ambassador even promised me a celebration dinner party with interviews!
Within two days, I went from extremely devastated and distressed to extremely thankful and happy. Maybe this incident is actually a blessing in disguise! "You cannot connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect them looking backwards."
